ROAR Rollout Continues: Budhouse Music Drops “Let You Go” 🔥

The ROAR rollout is not slowing down. Acemok Da Rebel has just dropped a new single titled “Let You Go,” featuring Outlaww and Liquid Flowz, who are both set to appear on the entire album, Rise of a Rebel, dropping on all DSPs later this year.
This is Acemok Da Rebel’s debut project as the CEO and sound engineer behind so much of the music we’ve been hearing from Budhouse over the years. It follows the 2024 mixtape Budtape, which I’m proud to say I was part of as an executive producer. 💪🏾

“Let You Go” is the 4th track to drop from ROAR. It follows “Fight for Me,” whose visuals dropped a year ago, “Reason” featuring HR the Messenger, and “Waasi,” which dropped a month ago. Acemok is giving us a taste of what’s coming, and I’ve heard some of it. Y’all are in for some greatness. Hip-hop is truly alive at Budhouse Music. 🎤
The moment the saxophone kicks in, you know the track is about to be epic. 🎷 “Let You Go” can be interpreted however it fits you.

Outlaww opens the first verse by touching on loss and grief. When we lose people close to us, we can carry guilt and question ourselves: I should have called more. I should have hung out with them more. I should have made time, in any way. But life goes on, and you have to let them go. He then speaks on vices having us on a chokehold; while difficult to accept that we have them, we have to realise that with letting them go, there is growth. He also touches on the people who are there when you’re strong and things are going well, but are nowhere to be found when things get hard. We should make peace and let those people go too.

Liquid Flowz takes the song in a different direction. He mainly speaks on the hustle and grind of being an artist trying to manoeuvre the industry. His perspective is about letting go of the noise, the gatekeepers and the hate that’s blocking him from reaching his goals. “Thought ya kuquit ishai cross mind lakini kucross finish ndio ilibaki bottom line,” he says. 🔥 He also talks about letting go of sketchy people and those who expect freebies, and he closes by saying he doesn’t see himself letting go anytime soon. He’ll rock through the hardships because he’s got goals to achieve. 🙌🏾
As I said, “Let You Go” can mean anything to you. Toxic people, a job that drains you, a habit that’s holding you back. It’s your life, and you have to live it on your own terms. Holding on to pain only deepens the void within, so let this track be your reminder. Press play, let go, and rise. 🔥
